10 Books You Need to Read to Redesign Your Life
1. The One Thing by Gary Keller
What is The ONE Thing you can do such that by doing it everything becomes easier or unnecessary? This book is big on ideas and practical advice. It did well, but I feel it is still underappreciated. I really enjoyed reading this one.
2. 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen R Covey
This book explains seven principles that can help you become an effective person in both your personal and professional life. Basically, it teaches useful methods for becoming a compassionate, kind, and enjoyable person.
3. Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck
One of the fundamental books talks about having the “Growth Mindset.” and shows how having a fixed mindset set you up for failure. It provides practical examples and scenarios, along with methods that can be easily applied in your own life.
4. Man’s Search For Meaning by Victor E. Frankl
This book will change your perspective on life. The first part delves into Frankl’s experiences in concentration camps, while the second part explores the concept of logotherapy. It tells you about the importance of having a clear purpose. You need to have a “why,” and once you have it, you will discover the “how.” It easily ranks on my list of top 10 books.
5. Atomic Habits by James Clear
A must-read, the best book of the last decade. The topic of habits has been extensively touched by countless authors, no one believed another book on the subject could bring anything new. James Clear proved everyone wrong. The way he has framed the ideas and concepts makes this book one of a kind. If you’re looking to read just one book about habits, this should be the one.
6. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle
Live in the present. It’s a simple, yet powerful idea. It’s so powerful that I recommend reading this book to fully grasp it. Remember, life is happening right now, not in the past or the future.
7. High Performance Habits: How Extraordinary People Become That Way by Brendon Burchard
This book provides six habits to help you become extraordinary and highlights potential pitfalls you may face on your journey. Well-researched and filled with practical examples, the fresh perspective of Brendon Burchard makes this an interesting read.
8. The Willpower Instinct by Kelly McGonigal
This book has more science and less self-help. If you want to understand willpower and improve it, this book is highly recommended. Particularly for those who struggle with willpower, goal setting, or motivation.
9. The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
The compound effect is constantly at work in the background, whether you notice it or not. By making smart, small choices and developing good habits, you can achieve massive results over time. Gain a deeper understanding of this powerful principle through this book.
10. Taking the Leap: Freeing Ourselves From Old Habits and Fears by Pema Chodron
A book about “staying present” and “consciously choosing to be in the moment.” Chodron offers information not only on the meaning of these concepts but, more importantly, practical instructions on how to achieve them. This book is both uplifting and useful. Avoids unnecessary verbosity and gets straight to the point. Highly recommended!
